Preparing for your lash, brow or semi-permanent make-up appointment and taking care after your treatment will make all the difference!

Find out everything you need to know for lash extension care, lash lift carebrow lamination care and semi-permanent make-up care.

Lash Extension Care

Lash Extension Care

1. Avoid getting your lash extensions wet ONLY for the first 24 hours after they have been applied.
2. Avoid steam rooms, saunas, swimming pools and sun beds for 48 hours after application.
3. Avoid oil-based eye make-up remover or any products containing oil too close to your eyes. This will seriously compromise the retention
of your eyelash extensions.
4. Do not use mascara.
5. Do not use eyelash curlers.
6. Do not rub or pick your lash extensions, this could damage your natural lashes.
7. Keep your fingers off your lashes! Every time you touch your lashes you are transferring natural oil and germs onto them.
8. Do not try and remove your eyelash extensions yourself.
9. You will be given a mascara wand at every appointment to brush your lashes with. Please use this daily to keep your lash extensions clean, neat & tidy.
10. It is important to keep your lashes clean.
11. Exposure to sudden heat, i.e. opening an oven door whilst your face is very close, can cause the curl to drop from your eyelash extensions.
12. Do not trim your lash extensions as you will blunt the ends. Your lash extensions are tapered to mimic your own eyelashes.
13. Your natural lashes have a 60-90 day growth cycle. When one lash falls out another is growing. You will require regular infills usually every 3-4 weeks to keep eyelashes looking beautiful. If having a one-off set they will gradually fall out. I do offer a removal service for £15 if you would prefer this option.

Lash Lift Care

Lash Lift Care

The great thing about a lash lift is that it is very low maintenance, however there is care needed in the first 24-48 hours to get the best results.
1. Be gentle with your lashes and don't rub them.
2. Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours.
3. No eye make-up or mascara for 24 hours.
4. Avoid waterproof mascara.
5. No swimming for at least 24 hours.
6. No facials or treatments on the face for 24 hours.
7. No steam/sauna for 24 hours, but please be aware this may weaken the curl/lift is you use these regularly.

Brow Lamination Care

1. Keep eyebrows DRY for 24 hours after treatment.
2. Do not apply make-up to your brows for 24 hours after treatment.
3. Resist touching your eyebrows for 24 hours.
4. Do not swim and avoid exercise where you will sweat for 24 hours.
5. Try and sleep on your back for the first night to keep the brow hairs straight and in the styled position.
6. Do not exfoliate or use retinoids around your brows for 3 days.
7. Everyday maintenance is VERY important. After 48 hours apply conditioning brow oil to your brows to keep the hairs in good condition.
8. Shape your brows twice a day using the mascara wand/spoolie you were given at your appointment. Brush upwards and then taper out towards your temples.

Brow Lamination Care

Semi-Permanent Make-Up Care

You will find a brief summary of Care guidelines below, however it is important to read the Pre- and Post-Treatment Care form very carefully and bring a signed copy to your consultation. Please also read this information about your brow appearance immediately after the treatment.

After your treatment, you will enjoy the best results by following this guidance:

1. The treatment area must be kept completely dry whilst it is healing. We recommend a gentle facial cleanser or wipe for the rest of the face during this time.

2. Keep hair away to prevent infection.

3. No products should be applied other than those your technician instructs you to use.

4. Do not expose the treatment to extreme heat, cold or moisture for two weeks following your treatment. This includes direct sunlight, tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, fake tan and swimming.

5. Do not pick, peel or scratch the treatment area as this could result in scarring or infection.

6. Avoid applying make-up to the treatment area until the wound has completely exfoliated.

7. If you are a blood donor, you may not be eligible to give blood for four months after your procedure.

8. Do not have any tinting or waxing for at least two weeks after the procedure or until the area has fully healed.

9. It is your responsibility to follow the aftercare rules to obtain the best results.
